Dufferin Media Forms Strategic Alliance with Dufferin’s Spotlight

Orangeville, ON  April 23, 2020 — Sarah Clarke of Dufferin Media and Josh MacEwen of Dufferin’s Spotlight have formed a strategic alliance. The business owners have a common interest in supporting businesses within Dufferin County and have decided to work together to help promote the fantastic activities happening within their community.

“We discovered Josh and his production company through his podcast called Dufferin’s Spotlight on Business. After meeting with Josh we saw that we are both passionate about local businesses and non-profit organizations. It is a common goal for both of us to help business owners tell their unique stories” said Clarke. Clarke and MacEwen determined it would be beneficial for both of their businesses to combine efforts and help spread the word about businesses within Dufferin County.

“With Sarah’s business connections and her social media support, it will help increase the audience for Dufferin’s Spotlight. My production company currently hosts two podcasts, Dufferin’s Spotlight on Business and Dufferin’s Spotlight on Seniors. It is my goal to grow to 10 podcasts that will feature issues and topics relevant to people living within Dufferin County. I feel these topics will be relatable to people worldwide as well” said MacEwen.

Dufferin Media will help Dufferin’s Spotlight production company through social media support. It will allow MacEwen the ability to focus on producing great content for his podcast. The goal is to increase the audience for Dufferin’s Spotlight and provide business owners with an outlet to talk about their business adventures. Each business owner has a unique story about why they started their business and these stories are of value to our community.

MacEwen’s other show, Dufferin’s Spotlight on Seniors, is focused on topics relevant to seniors in our community. The goal is to share information on support services for both seniors and their caregivers as well as community-oriented events and activities. MacEwen feels since we are all going to age, we might as well do it in the best way possible.
